104. Al Humaza (The Slanderer)
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Ever-Merciful
Woe to every slanderer, backbiter,
who amasses wealth and [continuously] counts it.
He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal.
No! He will be thrown into the Crusher.
And what will make you understand what the Crusher is?
It is the fire of Allah, ignited,
which rises over the hearts.
Indeed, it will be closed down upon them
in towering columns.
105. Al Fil (The Elephant)
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Ever-Merciful
Do you not see, [O Muhammad], how your Lord dealt with the companions of the elephant?
Did He not utterly confound their plans?
He sent against them birds in swarms,
pelting them with stones of hardened clay,
He made them like straw eaten down to stubble.
107. Al Ma’un (Basic Necessities)
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Ever-Merciful
Have you seen the one who denies the Recompense?
For that is the one who drives away the orphan
And does not encourage the feeding of the poor.
So woe to those who pray
[But] who are heedless of their prayer -
Those who make show [of their deeds]
And withhold basic necessities.
109. Al Kafirun (The Disbelievers)
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Ever-Merciful
Say, “O disbelievers,
I do not worship what you worship.
Nor are you worshippers of what I worship.
Nor will I be a worshipper of what you worship.
Nor will you be worshippers of what I worship.
To you is your religion, and to me is my religion.”
110. An Nasr (The Help)
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Ever-Merciful
When the help of Allah and the victory has come
And you see the people entering into the religion of Allah in multitudes
Then exalt [Him] with praise of your Lord and ask forgiveness of Him. Indeed, He is ever accepting of repentance.
111. Al Lahab (The Flame)
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Ever-Merciful
May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he.
His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained.
He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame
And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood.
Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber.
113. Al Falaq (The Daybreak) In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Ever-Merciful
From the evil of that which He created
And from the evil of darkness when it overspreads
And from the evil of those who blow on knots
And from the evil of an envier when he envies.”
